aka 'face blindness' - perspective of someone who has it.
always gives me a somewhat uncomfortable jolt, to find that something i read a sentence or two about in a medical textbook, or got a fleeting mention in one of the many lectures, can totally affect many, if not all, aspects of someone's whole life.

I recently started a blog about face blindness.
I wasn't really clear about my aims when I started it, except that I wanted to flush out some other face blind people in the UK, but I wasn't prepared for how annoyed I would be that most people's reaction is how 'fascinating' it is (or sometimes 'interesting', 'intriguing' or even 'cool').
So I'm trying to turn my blog around and write about the world the way it is for me, rather than how different it is from everybody else's experience. Not sure it will make much practical difference but it makes me feel better!
Anyway, it's nice to see a medical student with the sensitivity and insight to recognise that people have real lives, and are more than just patients and case studies!
